ADDRESSING WORKLESSNESS, TACKLING ILL HEALTH
10 March 2009
9.00am to 2.00pm (including lunch) at Portland College, Mansfield, Nottinghamshire
Addressing worklessness is a key priority for many public sector organisations and their delivery partners. Linking this with the wider public health agenda to tackle health issues is key if people are to get jobs and vitally remain in employment. In this challenging economic climate, the issue will become even more urgent, particularly for those with mental health issues. This event, coordinated by the Alliance Employment & Skills Board, will provide both a national perspective and local case studies on current work in partnership to tackle worklessness along with health partners.
This event is aimed at strategic and operational staff from economic regeneration, health and the voluntary and community sector. If there are colleagues within your organisation who you feel would benefit from this event, please forward this information.
Places are limited and will therefore be allocated on a first come first served basis. Please email lhayward.skillsboard@alliancessp.co.uk by 27 February to book your place and advise of any special access or dietary requirements. An email confirmation, including full programme and directions will follow your booking. |
